The player's stance is what matters, I am sure the Indian cricketing population will give them a fantastic welcome back into the country.

Last night, England's cricketers unanimously decided to return to India to play the two Test matches as originally planned as part of the tour itinerary.  After a two and a half hour meeting with ECB security advisor, Reg Dickason and the two Morris', Hugh and Sean, who had all been over to Chennai to check on the proposed security arrangements for the Test match.  Having heard the report, the player's then aired their views amongst them, some asking searching questions, both to Reg and Hugh before they agreed to take the very brave and courageous decision to go back into India.

The security measures that have been put in place will be more like for a presidential visit than for a game of cricket; with these measures in place, the players have felt secure enough to take the decision that they have.  After the preparation that they have had, I believe it would be a minor miracle if they get a result in either Test match, but for once I believe that the result of this Test match series does not matter.  The player's stance is what matters, I am sure the Indian cricketing population will give them a fantastic welcome back into the country.  Fingers crossed for all their safety and for seeing some great cricket.
